Job Description

Join ExcelHealth Group as a Full-Time Traveling Podiatrist

ExcelHealth Group is seeking a full-time, patient-centered Podiatrist to provide high-quality foot and ankle care to nursing home residents throughout the state. This role is ideal for a licensed provider who values clinical independence, enjoys working in different care settings, and wants to make a meaningful difference for patients who may have limited access to specialty podiatric services.

Why This Role Stands Out

As a Traveling Podiatrist, you will visit assigned nursing home facilities to evaluate and treat residents with a range of foot and ankle concerns. You will work independently while remaining connected to a supportive administrative and scheduling team. This position offers the ability to build a stable, full-time career while delivering essential care directly to patients in the long-term care setting. Full state coverage is required, and company support is provided for approved travel-related needs.

The right candidate will be comfortable managing a mobile schedule, communicating professionally with facility teams, and providing compassionate care to residents with varying clinical needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who wants a role with purpose, flexibility in daily workflow, and the ability to serve communities across the state.

What You’ll Do

· Evaluate, diagnose, and treat foot and ankle conditions for nursing home residents in assigned facilities.

· Provide routine and medically necessary podiatric care with professionalism, patience, and attention to individual resident needs.

· Develop appropriate treatment plans based on patient presentation, history, and clinical findings.

· Identify changes in patient condition and communicate concerns to appropriate facility staff or care team members.

· Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation for each patient encounter.

· Coordinate with the internal scheduling team to support efficient routing, facility visits, and patient care coverage.

· Represent ExcelHealth Group professionally when interacting with residents, families, facility staff, and care partners.

· Stay current with podiatric medicine best practices, compliance expectations, and continuing education requirements.

What We’re Looking For

· Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree and valid state license to practice podiatry.

· Valid malpractice coverage or ability to obtain coverage.

· Ability and willingness to travel statewide to assigned nursing home locations.

· Strong clinical judgment and comfort working independently in a mobile healthcare environment.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate respectfully with patients, facility staff, and internal team members.

· Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage documentation, scheduling expectations, and travel responsibilities.

· Commitment to delivering compassionate, ethical, and high-quality care to long-term care residents.

Benefits and Support

· Full-time employment with consistent patient care opportunities

· Paid time off

· Paid company-recognized holidays

· Health insurance reimbursement

· Malpractice reimbursement

· Continuing education support

· Basic vehicle maintenance support for approved work-related travel

· Company-issued credit card for approved travel expenses

· Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates

Work Environment

This position involves travel to nursing home facilities throughout the state and requires comfort working in long-term care environments. The provider should be prepared to work independently during facility visits while maintaining consistent communication with the administrative, scheduling, and support teams. The role requires professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
